Joe Partridge is a singer, actor, musician, and composer from Devon. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2019 and the Royal Academy of Music in 2025, where he studied singing, composition, and musical theatre. He made his professional debut as a soloist in the Thursford Christmas Spectacular in 2019.

Since then, Joe has performed in a variety of musical theatre and concert settings, including Oklahoma! In Concert (London Musical Theatre Orchestra, Drury Lane), the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company’s HMS Pinafore, The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance, Utopia Limited, and Patience, Guys and Dolls in Concert with the London Philharmonic, BBC Songs of Praise, Best of Rock Musicals (Eventim Apollo), West Side Story, and the Grimeborn Festival (Arcola Theatre). During his studies at the Royal Academy of Music, he took on the roles of Czolgosz in Assassins (dir. Bruce Guthrie), Medvedenko in The Seagull (dir. Jaz Woodcock-Stewart), and Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd (dir. Chelsea Walker).

Joe has also contributed to session and recording projects, including Idols with Yungblud (2025, Decca), The Stationmaster (Auburn Jam Productions, 2024), and albums for Katherine Jenkins - Guiding Light and Cinema Paradiso (Decca). Joe has also featured in a commercial with Suds from Madness and performed alongside Kylie Minogue at the Royal Albert Hall.

As a composer, Joe writes new musicals alongside songwriting projects and choral works. He has contributed to several musical workshops, including If So & So What Though? (Arts Theatre), and his most recent work includes an adaptation of Deborah Ellis’s novel The Breadwinner. He has developed a series of collaborative projects as part of the BOOK Music & Lyrics programme, including a concept musical with award-winning playwright Sarah Grochala — a coming-of-age story set in Silicon Valley — and Between the Music, created with lyricist Gemma Blake and book writer Theo Rhys. He has also completed a Shakespearean song cycle, One in One’s Time, inspired by Jacques’ monologue “All the World’s a Stage” from As You Like It.

Alongside performing and composing, Joe works with young singers and actors at institutions including the Sylvia Young Theatre School, LAMDA & Bird College. He has also held roles in music education at Laine Theatre Arts, Emil Dale, MEPA College, Snaresbrook Prep School, and Stagecoach Performing Arts, delivering workshops and supporting students through singing teaching.

As a musical director, Joe has worked on productions including Bring It On (dir. Stuart Glover), Little Shop of Horrors (dir. Leanne Everitt, MEPA College), Mamma Mia! (dir. Bryn Williams), and Twilight (Sylvia Young Theatre School).

Joe’s studies at the Royal Academy of Music and Guildhall School have been generously supported by charitable trusts including the Really Useful Group, Guildhall School Trust, Fleebag Support Fund, Musicians UK, Equity, The Theatrical Support Fund, Mary Barnes Trust, and the Arts Council.
