If So & So What Though? is a new musical song-cycle by Joe Partridge.

Consisting of twelve songs following four characters dealing with different life situations trying to ‘make-it-work’! From concert hall catastrophes, through incidents at the office or living with challenging flatmates. If So & So What Though? culminates with the idea that we all spend so much time looking forward and back that we miss the things right in front of us, the things that often matter the most.

Staring Elissa Churchill, Anya Hamilton, Will Sharma & Joe Partridge, for a premier on the 26th March 2019, Above the Arts Theatre in London.

Going, Going Gone

Performed at the Royal Academy of Music, 2025

Music & Lyrics by Joe Partridge — Piano: Gabriel Margolis

A satirical cabaret piece told from the perspective of the auctioneer at Banksy’s now-iconic 2018 painting shredding. The absurdity of value, spectacle, and self-destruction shrouded in the mystic of the art world.

Future Development

Following its 2019 debut, If So & So What Though? continues to evolve as a song-cycle exploring the intersections of choice, consequence, and connection.

A new iteration is currently being considered for revival, with plans to rework and expand the piece for a future workshop performance.
